Oak have made some fantastic changes to their skate line-up for 2010. The boards are still made using a hard rock Maple and Basswood cross-ply layup with a rock solid Maple bottom. All Oak wakeskates are true, all wood, 16 ply concave boards with a three stage rocker. For 2009 Oak have patented a new graphic process that inter-grains the paint with the wood so the base graphics will survive hitting sliders and kickers. Oak are also using a tested and proven molecular bonding and sealing process which is all done in house, personally by Oak, no outsourcing! All boards are sealed and hand rolled with a two part epoxy resin system which adheres the wood fibers together, increasing strength, pop and overall durability while keeping the wood from warping and waterproofs the boards. The boards are then topped off with multiple coats of a top of the line marine urethane three-part poly top seal. The 2010 range is really built to take a hit!
